A diesel car is OK to run to 200K miles, But Petrol engine 100K.
Yet they both have the same parts & Pistons etc. Why is the Diesel engine better?

They dont have the same parts.

A petrol engine uses a spark to ignite the fuel/air mixture

A diesel engine dosnt use a spark. It compresses the air and the gas is injected in the cylinder. No spark plugs needed although they do have glow plugs to aid cold starting.
