What is the difference between XVID and DVDR (Read Description)?

I just want an answer in short terms - quality wise.

So I went to a website where I can download free movies and I came across those titles XVID and DVDR, what does it mean, which is the best to download?

Only DVDRip videos are good quality.
Pdvdrip and dvdsrn are low quality than the dvdrip

Dvdr is DVD rip and xvid is like mp4 format both are grand to DL
