Here's another surprising thing, "learnt" is an actual word.
I don't need to tell you that there are differences in spelling and in the forms of words in American English and the English that is spoken in Ireland and UK and elsewhere, and you will know that this doesn't mean that something that is spelt different by someone who uses different English to you doesn't automatically make it "not a word".
