what is the name of a creature who is half bird half woman?

i'm writing a story for la class and one of my characters is half bird half woman and i need to know if there is a name for such a creature
 
A harpie is a creature with a bird's body and a woman's head, which sings at sea to lure ships in and its sailors to their deaths.
