Bells Palsy isn't a virus, it is a condition caused by pressure on the VII cranial nerve. The condition causes paralysis of the side of the face affected by that nerve, and can be severe enough to affect the muscles of the entire face. A brain tumor, stroke, and Lyme disease can cause facial paralysis, but the only condition that is called Bells Palsy is the pressure/kinking of the VII cranial nerve to the face. Hope this helps.
