what is the proper configuration of a blue ray for a ncie smooth image?

ok so i got my blue ray and played some movies already.
yes the image is 1080p and of course you can see the difference in the quality, but i realized that in my firends blue ray the image moves alot more smoother than mine. in mine the image is totally perfect but not so smooth. my friends looks like if it was filmed backstage. i dont know if you understand me but my english is not very good. please is there any configuration ?
i have a 44' 1080p samsung tv and a samsung blue ray player.
 
Alot of it has to do with your setup options on your tv and bluray player. Get a Bluray tune up disc and your system will look and run better.
 
The fluid motion or smoothing effect is called motion interpolation, though each TV manufacturer has a different name for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_interpolation . Samsung calls it "Auto Motion Plus". Motion interpolation changes the appearance of film based sources to look more like live action video.

Check your TV's manual or onscreen menus to see if the feature is available. If it is, then I recommend that you also set your Blu-ray player to 24Hz output instead of 60Hz. That way only the TV is creating interpolated frames from the 24Hz Blu-ray source, so the quality may be better.

If your TV does not have "Auto Motion Plus", then make sure the Blu-ray player is set to 60Hz output. It will not resemble motion interpolation very well, but it will push the video source to a higher frame rate (60 instead of 24).
 
is it running on 24 hz refresh rate?? maybe that's the problem. if not, then maybe your TV's refresh rate is not high enough. You can find LED TV's with 240hz refresh rate which means that it refreshes the image 240 times in a second, and that gives you the smooth image.
