What is the Self-Fulling Prophecy in Human Communication ?

A self-fulfilling prophecy (sometimes called a self-fulfilling hypothesis) is when stating that something will happen actually causes it to happen. Examples would be "There will be a meeting of curious people on the village green this evening at 9"; and, one that is used frequently by passive aggressors, "I think you're getting angry at me!". When people falsely attribute anger to us, it tends to make us angry. So the prophecy fulfills itself.

People will hear what they expect to hear even if what is said has nothing to do with what they are hearing.
