i'm watching the day after tomorrow, and it's not the movie i thought it was.
what i remember from this movie is the end... a young teenage boy is looking through glass jars of knuts and bolts in a garage to find keys. he marries his teenage girlfriend and in the end, they escape to safety, only to have his young bride's parents die, leaving them in care of her baby brother.
i'm also pretty sure that the main character was elijah wood, but i couldn't find it via his IMDB page.
