About two years ago I was regularly hanging out with two friends that are heavy smokers. Two separate occasions, I took a few drags off of a cigarette while at a cookout and a birthday party. I never actually smoked an entire cigarette, and I NEVER smoked on a regular basis. Around that time (again, about TWO YEARS ago) I started seeing a new doctor and when they asked me if I had ever smoked, I confessed that I had recently, although I did not buy cigarettes or smoke them regularly.
Now, every single time I have to go to the doctor, they chide me and tell me I need to quit smoking, and they will not believe me when I say I am not a smoker! My teeth are nice and white, my nails are not yellow, my hair and clothes do not smell like smoke, and I run 4 times a week - none of that indicates a regular heavy smoker to me!
I've Googled around but I can't find any satisfactory results - are there any reputable studies out there I can reference to the doctor that show reversal of damage from two cigarettes TWO YEARS AGO? I found on a few sites a list stating after 48 - 72 hours 100% of nicotine from 1 cigarette will be gone from your system and nerves that have been damaged will begin healing, but I can't find anything more specific to my situation. Will I ever be able to get the doctor off my back for something I'm not even doing???

I would have a spasm attack all over that doctor. But hey that's what I would do.

Each drag from a cigarette takes off at, AT MINIMUM, 10 years of your life. So, sorry to say brother..but your up sh**s creek without a paddle.
