What is the trick to getting an iPad 2 at Apple stores NOW?

They give you little info over the phone. But if you go to a store in person, they'll tell you to arrive 2 hours before the store opens in order to receive a "ticket" stating the type of iPad you want. The ticket will gaurenteed you an iPad. But my question is, if I wait on a Monday morning, get a ticket, will the store get a shipment of iPad 2's for sure, that morning?
I cannot buy it online, as I have saved cash for it. So online purchase is not an option. Wish it were..

Ie apple guy told me some days there are no arrivals at all
And they don't know for sure how many or when
 
Just get it online if you've spent this much time going to the store in person you would have had it by now in person.
