What is wrong with my Fiat Punto?

I have just bought a second hand fiat punto 52 plate and it was running fine with the odd glitch, I had to replace the exhaust but that was it.
At 40 mph there was a very slight judder and slight kicks waiting in traffic when stationary but the car had not been used for a while so I just put that down to this.
The central Locking is very glitchy and if I unlock from the drivers side the drivers door will unlock and then the rest of the car some time later but sometimes right away.
The dashboard warning light is on for the lights and I thought that just one of the side lights was out but then it cam back on.
Just now I was out and tuning the radio then the radio went all funny and the dashboard clock had reset, now the car will not turn over and start when I turn the key all the electrics go off completely and there is a clicking noise from the engine.

I have absolutely no idea what this is and would appreciate any help

You may need a new battery believe it or not my wife had similar problems and it turned out the battery was knackered. If not you would be better sticking it in for diagnostics will cost about £40 but at least you will know whats wrong

Sounds like your battery has had it, get your battery checked out and also ask the garage to check the charge output of the alternator

Certainly sounds like it needs a new battery assuming that the alternator is charging correctly. Most of the faults would be down to low battery voltage so a new battery is the best place to start.
