What is wrong with my JEEP cherokee 2.5? Oil is leaking from the top of my Engine.

what should i do? The oil leak seems to occur at the top of the engine, not the bottom. the oil sump is intact but oil is leaking from the top. What could be the problem and could anyone suggest me a solution?

I've tried opening the valve cover and ive glued the gasket with gasket glue but to no avail.

I do appreciate your time and help.

I'd get a new valve cover gasket and on the new one, use a paper thin amount of RTV gasket sealer. Only put the sealer on the (really clean) valve cover, don't put any sealer on the head itself, just make sure it's clean and dry. Also check your PVC valve (on the top of the valve cover) and make sure it's not leaking.
