What Is Your Favorite Time line Of Romance Novels?

which Era in history do you find the most romantic? I love a lot of different times. but my favorites would have to be the regency era in England, or the Civil War in The USA. I'm a huge an or romantic stories, forbidden, especially?
 
victorian era england ^.^ i just find this time so much more romantic than others, there are so many more boundaries, laws, it is perfect for lies and betrayal
 
I tend to like extremes. 1770s-90s in France was extremely liberal in certain circles and can prove to be more fun in some ways since the characters can get away with more. On the opposite end i like England 1880s -90s when propriety was far stricter than even the Regency- tensions/stakes are higher
