Made by Apple and Molorola or any others. Are they as good as a regular desktop if you only receive emails and do a small amount of purchasing on line?

Well, iPad is great, all the other tablets are trash, and are just copying the iPad.
iPad has music recording, where you can actually play instruments and plug it into the iPad, and they have vitrual on screen instruments, you can record, edit, add effects, auto tune straight from it. They also have world class iMovie.. a movie editing software. Then they have a PowerPoint software from Apple called Keynote, and they have something like word called Pages, and something like Excel, called Numbers. Those are just the Apple apps.
Then you have 65,000 iPad apps, and 178,000 iPhone apps you can put on it.

You can also print off of it, publish to YouTube, viddeo chat with the new cameras, and EVEN PLAY ONLINE GAMING for FREE with Apple's gaming network: GameCenter

All the other Tablets have no support, they are cheap plastic, and they have 20, YES 20, apps total for the tablet.

Terrible.

The iPad is great, I love mine. As for competitiors, the quality depends. The Motorola Xoom is decent, but isn't even close to the iPad's quality. As for using it as a desktop replacement, no. Yes, the iPad will fit the needs for email and web browsing. But let's face it, there will be a time when you do something else that isn't web browsing or email that the iPad can't do. Flash, a popular internet plugin, for example, doesn't work with the iPad. Lots of sites have iPad/iPod/iPhone versions of their sites, but there are plenty of sites out there that still use Flash. The iPad should never be used as a full-blown computer; just a supplement to one. You even need a computer in order to sync, transfer data, and update the iPad.
