Do you think Heat, Closer, OK, etc have a place in today's society?
Did they help create the obsession with "celebrity" or were they a result of it?
Personally I can't stand them. They constantly have articles about how this girl is too fat, or how this one is too thin. They have misrepresented the facts on many issues that I don't think have any place in this kind of media (eg Heat with bi-polar which is close to my heart as my husband has it). And they rave about someone one week, then pull them down the next.
Would our society be better off without them or do they provide something worthwhile to the millions that buy them?
