Personally, I dislike it. If history has told us something is that THE NEXT BIG THING in technology, is something unpredictable. Nobody knew that Microsoft, Google or Apple will become as big as they are. One can say where the problems are, and suggets how they should besolved. However, one cannot predict something. What do you think when you hear analysts saying: Facebook will become this, Apple will cause the fall of the laptop and the rise of the table, Google will control the information of tthe world, Microsfot will rule cloud computing, etc.?
It is great to give your opinions in private. However, it seems kind of irresponsible to give them in public. It may be your opinion, but your statement can cause the rise or fall of the value of a company.
When you make 1,000 predictions, 1 can be right. Vernes was that 1 in 1,000.
