THE MOMENT. Please help me.? I would like to know which religion I would be considered as.
here are the things i believe:
there is one God.
he is very powerful.
he has a son, named Jesus.
he built the universe in those 6 days, but i don't think it matters if they are actual 24 hour periods, or if they were units, or years or anything else.
i believe he has the power to choose whether people go to Heaven or Hell.
you should try to be the best person you can be, and that real religion takes work.
God deserves respect, and honor, but constant worship is tricky.
I believe that children are innocent,
and. im not sure about everything.
that is for my real religion. i dont expect to get the real answer of which religion i am from Yahoo answers though.

my question is, which 'temporary' religion am i?
this is what i am taking into consideration(as far as a 'temporary')
1. I believe that there is only 1, Almighty God.
2. I am choosing to take a break from him for now, and take time to contemplate.
the reason I am doing this, is because im seeing more and more evil and unnecessary harm/death in the world.
a. probably like my 3rd or 4th closest friend died last year
b. my 'dad' got lung cancer. and there were MAJOR complications with that.
c. my 'dad' and boyfriend got into a really bad crash this november, and my boyfriend is still in the hospital. (i am a girl. this is his account.)
d. my best friend is 15, and is going to die in about 2 months from a really rare disease.
e. i have been sick for about a year.
also, other things. like hungry children at night, or kids who get beaten, or their parents die of aids in africa, or genocide, or. a lot of things.
if there is a God, how could he let all of these things happen.
and you can say, yeah. but that is the devil.
except, even if that is true, that doesnt mean that god isnt somewhat responsible, could he not stop it? and if he cant, doesnt that make him not as worthy?
im just wondering.
what is your religion if you believe in god, but arent wishing to follow him FOR THE MOMENT.

you cant tell me you honestly believe the best way to 'test' someone is by killing an innocent person, so you?
if so, please justify.
tell me you are ready to lose, say. every single person you know. just so God can test you.
i dont really have a family anymore, i have never been close to my actual family, but ive been dating Cody for 4 years, and i have seen him for almost one. now, my best friend is dying, and cant do any of the 'last minute wishes' stuff, because that would kill him instantly. so my question is why, if you say he is only doing things to test people, why cant he find a better way to do it than hurting or killing people? and why do people even need to be tested? if he is all knowing, shouldn't he know how strong their faith is? it talks about how he will not give people more than they can handle. but im on my own here now. how is that bearable?!?
