What kind/brand of satellite dish will work with the AFN decoder?

I live in Yokosuka Japan off base and trying to get AFN channels. The base will no longer issue satellite dishes for AFN, i was told to buy my own dish and they will provide the rest. But they don't know what kind of dish i need. Are all dishes the same?
I have seen some decent cheap dishes on ebay will they work?
