As Kokoro stated, Karate is an umbrella term, which makes narrowing down a particular style difficult.

I do believe that is none other than Andy Hug (k1 champ) ....he practiced Kyokushinkai Karate-do.

there is almost 50 different styles of karate, some are very similar and after over 30 years in karate i haven't even seen them all

unless you know the persons full name or talk to him there is no way to tell
