what kind of motorcycle should i get. a sport bike or a street/trail bike?

i want to go on trips with it but i would also like to be comfortable to and also the street trail bikes would be kool because i could go through trails off road and stuff.but then on the other hand the sport bike would be more fun to ride on the street because its faster.

what bikes do you preffer?
 
For comfort and trips you want a big street/trail (or adventure) bike. More speed does not equal more fun, the lowly Kawasaki KLR650, for example, is amazingly fun on twisty back roads.
 
Your talking two completely different styles of bikes.Sp people can give your their opinion on what they like, but in the end you need to decide what you like and what you want your bike to do.Your question is like asking what color you should get.Only you can decide that.Once you decide what type of bike you want come back and ask for suggestions.
 
if you want a bike which is off road and also okay to ride on the road go for a 'Kawasaki KLR 650' very comfortable or mayb.... 'Honda Xr 650, 'yamaha XTZ660 TÉNÉRÉ or XT660R' these are some nice... adventure bikes also able to ride out on the dirt tracks or just go to different motorbike brand websites and look at there 'TRAIL' bikes bikes which are road worthy and also alot of fun on the dirt!
