What kinds of fish should I get?

I like mickey mouse platies, but I'm scared of them breeding. I'd get a 5 or 10 gallon tank possibly, so what types of fish should I get? I'm a beginner. I'm 13.
 
since ur a beginner i would say get a 5 gallon and get a few guppies and a few mollies, They will be good for the tank because they don't get too big and they get along well.
 
get tropical fish like neons and tetras all kinds of them. they will look pretty. go to a fish store and ask them to show you tropical fish.
 
you should research fish and decide what you want. It's also your choice. But if you are that scared of breeding fish just ask the PetSmart or PetCo fish dealer to get you a male so that way no breeding happens.
