What kinds of interesting function should modern coffee table have?

I need to design a coffee table
and I want to put some interesting and new function..
other than boring storage spaces or draws...
I thought of only one... board games~ but other than this,
my mind is blank, I need your help!!!
any ideas? thanks~!

Oh I like the games thing you suggest! Something I'd like is one that can be folded and stored behind the sofa if extra floor space is needed. I would think the four legs would have to be in an X pattern and have hinges, with the table top attached on on side, so it can be folded and flipped down

Some kind of a crumb tray that you can slide the crumbs into and then lift out to toss.
