lethal injections of today? I know one is more slow, but its still the same thing... MURDER. So how do you justify yourself by saying that Christians agree with stoning someone (which btw was used only in the OLD testament) and yet alot of you non believers agree with revenge, America's law of lethal injection and an eye for an eye?

John 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "if anyone of you is with out sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

(What he's saying is no one had the right to stone her because everyone was a sinner.. how does that imply that the new testament -the christians- believe in the practice of stoning that was from the old testament?)
I said yet alot. not all.
I think you're silly.
I think you're silly.

I would wager that far fewer atheists believe in capital punishment than Christians. And once again, your Old Testament is still relative because your god is supposedly a perfect being. That is an absolute. Nothing he has said or done can possibly be refuted because his "law" would have always been perfect. Quit making up excuses to justify your silly beliefs.

Stoning someone for committing adultery is excessive punishment, imo.

Stoning someone for raping a kid or planning out and executing a murder of another person, bring it on.

You need to put that whole story into context instead of just pulling out the part you think helps your political cause.

People know that the death penalty is in place when they plan out and carry out a murder. They give themselves the death penalty. I wont cry or feel sorry for cold blooded murderers.
