What martial art does Aang use?

I watched an episode of Avatar The Last Airbender with my little brother, and the martial art he uses and his stance is interesting. When he does hand to hand combat he avoids the opponents punches and kicks by circling around him. He did it alot against Zuko. Anyone know what it is?
