what nationality are you.

I know, but it did when my family came here. I think its like considerd Poland now or something...I try not to claim fame to that one, since I know nothing about it

Explain, good sir

No, really. I'd like to hear this one. Seeing as I can trace both sides of my family back decently far and know for a fact that I'm a huge majority Italian.

Like I posted before, mainland Italians do not consider themselves to be of the same blood as Sicilians. Sicilians are Italians who have sexed up the rest of the world when they come to trade in the Mediterranean. Ergo, Sicilians are not true Italians.

sicilians are not true italians, therefore you are not majority italian.

Lol@ most of the kids i know in school in real life wanting to be italian/claiming to be. It's pathetic.

You do realize that you could make the same argument with literally anywhere, right? Along any well used trade route or any city the same thing could have happened. As long as there was cultural interaction, this exact argument could be made. Not just Sicily or Italy.

Uhh.. I don't know you though...? So there's no way I'm Italian because you know people who want to be? Awesome logic.

Lol at A) every person in this thread claiming percents and B) "true" Italians that haven't had a relative in Italy since the 1800's.

This is true. However, Sicilians today are not pureblooded Italians. Talk to literally any 100% Italian from mainland Italy, and they will tell you that Sicilians are totally different from Italians.

I've got family here and in different parts of Italy. Including Sicily. You guys would know my family history better though, right? This is ST afterall.

Edit- I'm done though. Lawl I don't want to sit and argue Sicily/Italy all night and if I'm truly "Italian" or not. Nothing against you guys, but not tonight. Juice, PM me sometime and we'll talk. If we can keep the normal ST bullshit out of it, I'm more then willing to debate it. It's interesting to me.

either your

A. A poser and not italian
B. Not majority of italian as you claim

I have sicilian friends that have repeatedly told me that they are not of italian blood. And their parents would personally curse you out or assault you if you ever mentioned them as italian.
