What neighborhood is nicer? Mar Vista or Culver City?

Hello I'm moving into West LA next year and narrowed down these two neighborhoods/city for where I'd like to live. They are both close to my work and nicely situated. What neighborhood would you recommend? Which is more expensive? Safer? Fun? Thanks!!!!
