What new verizon smartphone/blackberry should i get? or should i hold out for a

future phone? I've had a samsung alias for 2 years+ now and i think it's about time for an upgrade. I don't think that i really like the new alias 2 though.
I did some research & the HTC Touch Pro2 & Motorola DROID look real nice. I would love to have a QWERTY keyboard unless the virtual keyboard is real smooth. Are there any other phones I should check out? Which is better, the Touch Pro2 or the DROID?
P.S.
What're the data charges like for verizon?
 
droid ive heard is bad ass, verizon is kinda expensive but they have great reception!
