what OS X is required on imac to run with iphone 4 (verizon)?

I have an old g4 with an old version of iTunes and I want to trade my LG revolution for an iPhone but I need to know if my Mac is compatible. Verizon said they were pretty sure yes.
 
You MUST be running Mac OS 10.5.8. If you're running 10.4.11 or earlier, it will not work unless you upgrade.
