I want to know how many predictions have came true so far and how close you guys think the rapture is from being here...

Most of them came true and it is very close. I would say within 10-20 years tops and maybe sooner. But go to this website for more information. http://contenderministries.org/prophecy/endtimes.php

Predictions that have come true: War, famine, natural disasters, and non-believers.

Things that have happened in every century: War, famine, natural disasters, and people giving up their religion.

HARMONIOUS AND ACCURATE
The Bible is scientifically accurate. It even contains information that was far ahead of its time. For example, the book of Leviticus contained laws for ancient Israel on quarantine and hygiene when surrounding nations knew nothing about such matters. At a time when there were wrong ideas about the shape of the earth, the Bible referred to it as a circle, or sphere. (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible accurately said that the earth ‘hangs on nothing.’ (Job 26:7) Of course, the Bible is not a science textbook. But when it touches on scientific matters, it is accurate. Is this not what we would expect of a book from God?
The Bible is also historically accurate and reliable. Its accounts are specific. They include not only the names but also the ancestry of individuals. In contrast to secular historians, who often do not mention the defeats of their own people, Bible writers were honest, even recording their own failings and those of their nation. In the Bible book of Numbers, for instance, the writer Moses admits his own serious error for which he was severely reproved. (Numbers*20:2-12) Such honesty is rare in other historical accounts but is found in the Bible because it is a book from God.

A BOOK OF PROPHECY
The Bible contains numerous prophecies, many of which have already been fulfilled. Consider an example. Through the prophet Isaiah, who lived in the eighth century*B.C.E., Jehovah foretold that the city of Babylon would be destroyed. (Isaiah 13:19; 14:22,*23) Details were given to show just how this would happen. Invading armies would dry up Babylon’s river and march into the city without a battle. That is not all. Isaiah’s prophecy even named the king who would conquer Babylon—Cyrus.—Isaiah 44:27–45:2.
Some 200 years later—on the night of October*5/6, 539*B.C.E.—an army encamped near Babylon. Who was its commander? A Persian king named Cyrus. The stage was thus set for the fulfillment of an amazing prophecy. But would the army of Cyrus invade Babylon without a battle, as foretold?
The Babylonians were holding a festival that night and felt secure behind their massive city walls. Meanwhile, Cyrus cleverly diverted the water of the river that flowed through the city. Soon the water was shallow enough for his men to cross the riverbed and approach the walls of the city. But how would Cyrus’ army get past Babylon’s walls? For some reason, on that night the doors to the city were carelessly left open!
Regarding Babylon, it was foretold: “She will never be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let their flocks lie down there.” (Isaiah 13:20) This prophecy did more than predict a city’s fall. It showed that Babylon would be desolated permanently. You can see evidence of the fulfillment of these words. The uninhabited site of ancient Babylon—about 50*miles [80*km] south of Baghdad, Iraq—is proof that what Jehovah spoke through Isaiah has been fulfilled: “I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation.”—Isaiah 14:22,*23.
THE countdown to the end of the present wicked system continues irrevocably. With the passing of every hour, every minute, every second, we approach striking events prophesied long ago. Is the rapture one of these? If it is, when and how will it occur?
The word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible. But those who believe in it cite the apostle Paul’s words at 1 Thessalonians 4:17 as the basis for their belief. Let us examine this scripture in its context. Paul wrote:
“Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant concerning those who are sleeping in death; that you may not sorrow just as the rest also do who have no hope. For if our faith is that Jesus died and rose again, so, too, those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus God will bring with him. For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Consequently keep comforting one another with these words.”—1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Every prophesy in the Bible has come true. The return of our Lord will only take place after the Antichrist has been revealed, and then only 3.5 years into his reign of terror (Matt 24).

ALL of the ones that are supposed to have taken place and others that are yet to come. There are thousands of examples. Here is one:

Matthew 24:1 & 2 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

too many to list here

israel returned to the land after a long exile as jesus said would happen

the rapture will appear in the next 30 years probably more closely in the next 5 years

Seriously?! It's all a bunch of crap.

I've not seen any red dragons lately...

Revelation
12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Christians believe that all the OLD TESTAMENT predictions were proven by Jesus. Jews don't believe this (and it's THEIR Testament!) I'm not sure what Muslims believe.

I don't think Old Testament predictions were proven true. But frankly that's not important. If you believe the rapture is coming, the first action in a complicated, violent, and final apocalypse, then you also believe that nobody can know when it's coming. Because that is part of the same prophesy.

Every Christian intellectual (and no that's not an oxymoron) since Jesus himself has desperately wanted to believe he was living in the final days. It's just a very attractive thing to believe. Jesus himself said he was, over and over, dozens of times! He said that the generation living then would see the apocalypse before they died. He was wrong about that! I am not Christian but I greatly appreciate Jesus' teachings, the philosophy he tried to teach. But even if you think he was God, you have to admit he got that one wrong.

So today, every time there's a clap of thunder, apocalypticists say "Aha! Here it comes! This is it!" 8^) The prophesies say there will be false prophets, there will be wars and rumors of war, earthquakes and volcanoes and stuff like that. But that's a pretty easy prediction. These things have always been!

If I was a Christian, trying to be intellectually honest, trying to be honest with -myself-, I'd think that maybe it could happen any minute, and it would be wise to be ready for it. But not to expect it. If I reached my deathbed without having seen the rapture in my lifetime, I wouldn't feel cheated, because the whole idea was to live my life AS IF it could happen at any time. And a life well-lived is its own reward.

The next event on the prophetic calendar is the rapture, then the seven year tribulation, then the second coming, then the Millenium, then the judgment.

The word 'rapture' means 'to be caught up', or'snatched away'. Jesus will approach the earth and call all the Christians to come up to Him. He will not 'touch down' on earth at this time. We will spend the seven year tribulation that will come upon the earth with Jesus in heaven. Born again Christians will not go through the Great Tribulation.

After the seven year Great Tribulation Jesus will touch down on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. The Christians will accompany Him, and will help Him rule for one thousand years. Jesus said that the whole world will see His Second Coming, as the lightening flashes from the east to the west. Jesus will not return to the earth for at least seven years from now..

At the end of the Millenium (thousand year reign of Jesus on the earth) the unrighteous dead are resurrected and judged.

At least 330 amazingly detailed prophecies were fulfilled during Christ's birth, life and death. There have been many more fulfilled also like the return of the Jews to their homeland.

No one knows when the Rature will happen but their are many current events which are leading to the fulfillment of other prophecies which are predicted near the end.

Increase of knowledge in the last days.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4)

Ezekiel 37: The Rebirth of Israel

a few of the predictions in the bible about the end of the world have come true
wild Weather being one, and an abundance of people turning away from god as well.

though, nobody but god will ever know when the end of the world will occur. i don't believe in the rapture though.
