What reading level would you say Great Expectations is?

I was like reading it earlier (I have this whole long list of books I'm trying to read with classic and mod. lit and it's on it.) and my friend was like "isn't that a high school book?" and i'm like "um...." *trying to find an excuse as to why I'm reading it...*

anyhoo- is it like a low level book?
