What SCREENSIZE should I make my animation projects if I intend to make a DVD...

...of them in the future? Im making an animation project and I dont know if I need to make a special project size...
the default is 360X240 is that going to make a difference or will the DVD player(s) stretch it to a normal size

Im mainly worried about not losing 'quality' on the bigger scrreens
