...wear L'oreal True Match N3? i want to upgrade to the bare escentuals bare minerals foundation, but i would rather order the newbie pack online instead of going to the mall and asking the workers there about what color i'd be(sometimes the workers at sephora know absolutely NOTHING about finding the right foundation shade, and i'm worried about that). I wear this:

and i want to know which shade of this i would be, light or medium?:

thanks!
i'm asian, and i'm not pale enough to wear fair. the l'oreal foundation that i used isn't as light as it looks in the picture, plus it dries a little darker and that's when it's more in touch with my skin tone. (:

hey, i don't know Loreal but Bare Escentuals has been amazing for me! i wear the fairly light (and mix with light), but my friend with more olive skin wears medium (and mixes with medium beige) - i might try this with a sun tan! the light is probably the best bet if you're naturally pale, because you can use Warmth to add tone and colour (I'd recommend the Get Started Kit in Light). this worked on my olive-skinned friend as well, so i can vouch for its versatility. the powders are all very natural so you can't really go wrong. hope this helps!

ok i have the fair starter kit. it comes with two foundation colors: fair and fairly light. "fair" is the lightest color they have and if you're very pale then it would work. "fairly light" is a tiny bit tanner for summer months.

so loreal foundation picture looks pretty light so i think you should get fair.

but my mom has the "light" starter kit. it's good if you're light skinned with a bit of a tan.
