What should i be sure to know about before buying my own horse?

I am looking into buying a horse, I take lessons & have had riding experience for awhile. buut- i know very little about horse. I just know the basics of grooming, feet care, riding, tack, feeding, & competions. What are all the things i need to know before I buy & start to take care of my horse?
