When I was 16 I got a bike helmet ticket. (Figures it would be the only time I ever did that too) There was no court date that I could remember on the ticket, but my mom said she called and took care of it. Now, 6 years later I received a letter stating there was a judgement against me and that my drivers license has been revoked and they could garnish my wages. I'm like what the heck?? I called the number and the lady started asking me personal questions (this was before she told me what it was even for.) I asked her if she could send me paperwork regarding this, as I was under the impression it was taken care of and she refused and said I needed to call the courts. So what do I do now? Its been 6 years and what makes me mad (besides my mom lying to me) would be the fact that they NEVER ONCE tried contacting me or anything regarding this.
