My food pattern is totally mixed up and i haven't really been sticking to the "three meals a day" rule! I'm trying to lose weight fast, so do you have any healthy food guidelines?

Also snacks inbetween meals?!

First if you are trying to lose weight don't do that 3 meals a day....do the 5 smaller portions a day.
For breakfast eat something like oatmeal, OJ, and a piece of fruit (apple, orange, peach, banana, ect.)
Snacks: nuts, fruit, rice cake
Lunch: salad, fruit, vegies w/low fat dip, sandwich with whole weat bread and nothing like mayo
Dinner: soup, salad, vegies (corn, broccoli, green beans, ect), fish, lean meat, chicken

Also drink a lot of water

Cut down on sodium and sugar intake. I would eat 1200-1500 calories a day to lose weight and also exercise.

If you are trying to lose weight, 60 minutes of running everyday would do the trick. Example of meals: Eat a bowl of cereal and a fruit for breakfast. Eat a sandwhich for lunch, and make sure the sandwitch does not have too much meet and cheese in it, but a little bit is fine. For dinner, eat plenty of vegetables and some meat. Remember, eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, and drink plenty of water. Try to stay clear of snacks. If you are really hungry, drink more water, and more water, and so on. If you are extremely hungry, eat a fruit or vegetable or something, but don't eat any chips, donuts, or anything unhealthy. Good luck!

Mm, well, snacking throughout the day keeps your weight consistent and doesn't make your body mass decrease/increase. Breakfast is law no.1, since it's the fuel to your entire stomache, brain, and body for the day. Lunch should be consumed regularly, because food is always what helps a human act well and sane. Dinner is less important, but it helps. Three meals a day is definetily an important rule. It keeps you healthy and active, even if you don't believe it.

See, if you eat an entire meal between 900-1000 possible calories in one sitting, because you skipped breakfast and lunch, then your weight goes up the scale. Although you ate only one time during the day, that one meal was enough to fill you up more than necessary and reduce your physical activity.

Snacking limits that. Snacking healthy foods like grapes, crackers, or string cheese, fills your needy every now and then tummy. And eating a nutricious, big breakfast is great because your body receives the a.m carbs as fuel for the rest of the day. Then lunch and dinner basically aid that.
