...buying alcohol? Last night I went to CVS (in California) to purchase alcohol and was outrageously hassled by the store clerk. I turned 21 about 7 months ago and my Korean friend who was with me (also carded) turned 21 a few weeks ago. She scanned both of our ID's, put them under her black light thing, and then proceeded to comment on how extremely young we both looked. She made both of us feel so guilty even though our ID's are 100% real! She was very rude. For buying one bottle of wine the whole situation took about ten minutes. Then as we were checked out and about to leave she questioned us AGAIN. What do you say to store clerks who do this type of hassling? I know they are trying to do their job and cover their bases but if feels so unfair. Any witty comebacks that won't put me in jail?
