What Size Amp do I need for a Alpine Type R 12?

My uncle Gave me a Alpine type R 12" subwoofer. What Size amp would be best for this speaker?
What brand and models do you recommend?

anything really which has the same amount of watts of the sub's peak power which i believe to be 1500. i think you can can go higher so if you are going to run more speakers off the amp go for a 2000 with quite a few channels if you don't mind doing some wiring. rockford and fosgate or alpine
