what special magnet is used to float a satellite (see rest of question)?

ok my satellite faces south
if i go outside and move it slightly my channels go out.

so this must mean the satellite is moving with the speed of earth.
what is holding it up? and keeping it going 1500 miles per hour and staying in one location
