I need a sport bike that's affordable and within my budget. Anything under 6000$ is within my budget. So could an experienced rider give me some suggestions? That would really help out a lot. I would also like to fully understand the concept of cc or cubic centimeters. What is it and what effects does it have on the performance of the sport bike?

I'll answer about cc first. An engines capacity is the diameter of the cylinder in centimeters, true to a tenth, multiplied by the stroke again in centimeters true to a tenth, which is the distance the piston travels from top to bottom, then multiply again for the number of cylinders. The last figure is the cc.
52.4 bore times 60.0 stroke times 1 number of cylinders equals 314.4cc, that would be called a 320cc in round figures.

The cc of a motor in truth only plays a small part in performance where other effects like compression ratio, camshaft timing and profile, carby size, intake valve size, the number of gears and the inertial weight plus and the bikes design and weight all play in the overall result in performance.

Having said that and you being a novice rider I advise something in the 250cc capacity.
