What technology of the youth and in the future?

What technology is affecting are youth and why? What are the advantages and disadvantages. How will the youth of today be effected in the future. Such as some adults of today don't use the INTERNET or computers or cell phones or texting and that effected there future for today.
Thanks for the person that answered but I also want to know how the youth of today with technology will effect there future?
 
Technology has the same benefit for the youth as it does for adults, especially in regards to computers. Technology in today's world allows a person to store perhaps over a million hours of media (music, tv, movies, video games) on a single computer. The merging of communication and computing has made it very easy to talk to family and friends from a computer. This has made communication more frequent, which is a benefit of course. Also, the internet has hundreds of educational applications and study aids, which benefits academics.
The negative side of this is that the youth often spend more time on the computer than they should, and instead of meeting at the malt shop to chat, they do it from a computer. Also there is less face-to-face communication, for some. And in some cases computers are used primarily for video games and not for study.
