What the Muslim/Arabian Greeting? - "May God Be With You" Or Something?

I've heard it before, its like Masaium Ali Awakum or something similar? Unsure.
But means something like, may God be with you or God is great?
Usually followed by the other person saying something similar?
 
Asalam uo halacom, then the other person would say wa halacom uis salam. I think
 
first person assalamu alaikum--

second person oalaikumussalam
 
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu.Translation: Peace be with you and may the Mercy and Blessing of Allah be upon you.
then we reply by saying, Wa Alaykum Assalam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
