okay! Last year i bought a black berry curve 8530 for $20 from sprint.... well like 2 days ago the screen went black and wouldn't turn on.. i think it over heated because it was hot and it was sweating... 
well anyway the warranty is over but i can upgrade my contract in a few months. is there a way i can revive it and fix it myself rather than spend $55 dollars to fix it at thephonedoctors.com? or should i wait.. respond ASAP!
PS: my dad put it in rice for some reason even though i didnt drop it in water and now there is a little rice in it..
PPS: My dad also took it to sprint. he said they put batteries in it but it still didnt work.
PPPS: i really want to keep this phone because it has a lot of important information on it and its really special!
