what to do when your Ex spreads rumors about you?

Ok so I broke up with my boyfriend two days ago, now he's spreading little lies about me... I would do the same but I'm just not that type of person. he said he love me first, he said he'll never hurt me & all that crap, so why when I break up with him he do something like that ?

please tell me what should I do & why is he doing this........THANKS MUCH !!!!!

hes just bitter coz u broke up with him. just be the bigger person and dont talk crap on him or youll be jus as bad but you already knew that :)

He is doing this to gain your attention, play it cool ignore him dot fall on his game keep quiet let him play his lonely game alone, so that people could see that his a fool at the end of the day he will get tied. Bt if you try defending your self telling people that wat he says its "not true" u will be somehow giving him power for he will love hearing you defending your self. THE BEST WAY GIVE IT A SILENT TREAT and see how it goes

It sounds like vindictiveness and jealousy. A way of keeping control of your life and preventing you from moving on (if you haven't already). This ex still feels as if he owns you- which of course he doesn't. It will probably pass in a couple of weeks.

It happened to me quite recently - an ex of someone I know wrote an enormous amount of e mails to me (after witnessing a row we had) giving me bad information about him. She copied some e mails he had sent to her about what he was saying about me. It wasn't really bad, he was clearly still trying to stay on good terms with her. At first I was upset and shocked, but then I went away and thought about it. What kind of person (in this case a woman on the pretext of us being "sisters") betrays an ex in such a way? I know for sure he never said a bad word about her. So I judge him to be the better person deep down. I destroyed the e mails. It's not for me to judge what happened between him and his ex. Let's hope your friends bin the rumours being spread about you.
