What to do with a 12500VC Marked Infraction on My ticket?

I moved from CA to GA less than two years.I moved back from CA a year ago. I was pulled over for driving someone else's vehicle that had a cracked windshield on the lower part. I did not realize I was going to get a ticket as being unlicensed. I informed the officer that my license was still valid and that I was in the process of getting my CA license renewed the following Tuesday (four days) later of which I did. I asked the officer what do I do since I have never had a crime or even a ticket. He said I would get a letter and that the ticket may not even be filed. He also said that he could have marked it a Misdemeanor but that he understood so he was just giving me an infraction of which he checked. The car was also towed until I was able to pick it up the next week until we got paid again. Prior to that I had registered a car in CA before giving it away. When I went to DMV, the rep. asked for my DL, I gave him my GA DL he then said hold on and quietly checked the system and then attached my previous CA DL number to the registration of which would not have expired until next year and wrote my old number down since I did not remember it, and gave it to me. So I assume it was still active. I since have that same DL # renewed. I was told that since I have never had a ticket or anything to just tell the judge that, along with having since reviewed the law, and to just bring in proof of the old GA DL and the Renewed CA DL to show the judge.
