what to do with my snakes while im on vacation?

im going on vacation for a month. i don't have any friends that can take care of them or even feed them. i want to know if there's a place that will watch them or a way to take them with me? there on a feeding schedule now of once a week.

Although snakes will be fine without FOOD for a month, they require water, depriving them of water can be dangerous and eventually the water bowl will dry out if they don't drink it all.

Look around for pet sitting services. It should not cost very much for a snake, really all they need to do is check his water and temperature every couple of days and feed him once or twice.

You don't say what species they are. If they are adult cornsnakes, they can easily go a month without food. The issue will be water. If they run out or poop in the water, they can die from dehydration. Is there a vet or petsitter that you can pay to check on them? Check with a reptile store or local reptile breeder if you can to find out if there's someone that can check on them and possibly feed them at least once while you're gone. I don't take extended vacations due to my animals...just the realities of having pets.

Unless you have someone to watch them, there really isn't anyone else. Depending on the type of snake you have, most can last to up to a year without food. It sounds cruel, but they can survive just fine. If it isnt a baby or a small snake it should be perfectly fine. I have ball pythons that go off food for 8 months at a time and it doesn't hurt them at all. As long as you feed it before you leave. If you wanted to feel safe about it, even feed it a little bit more the week before you leave. If your use to feeding it once a week. Feed it every 5 days instead until you go on vacation, that way you know it will have the body fat to be healthy.
Snakes aren't very active to begin with so they aren't wasting any energy.
