What to know before setting up a home theater?

My daughter will be graduating from middle shool, she loves Harry potter and twilight so I wanna turn her 10x10 room to a mini home theater. I have no experience or knowledge of the differnt types of televisions and all that hahaXD Any tips or advice? She has a majory outdated tv with no DVD player, I'm thinking of getting a flat screen (not too big, mounted on the wall), blu ray DVD player, and some surround sound speakers. She doesn't play video games, but what is the best type of television, DVD player, and speakers that isnt too costly? Just the right size? And has a realy crisp clear quality? Any brands, specific products, tips, advice would be greatly appreciated...THANKS:)
 
Go to Best Buy and look around. They have tvs now with the DVD player built right in.
