I have four TV's in my home. Two are on a Dish Network Dual tuner setup. The other two are not because I could not get a sat signal then the other two were connected. What is the best way to insure signal to all four sets? The installer only patched in RG6 segments where needed to my existing cable TV runs.

Two things I feel could increase my signal.

(1) Replace all coax runs with RG6 Quad Shield

(2) Run a single coax from each of the four dish connection points to its own TV.

The installer ran a single collection thou a splitter outside the house. My thinking is that doing away with all splitters and doing multiple runs of RG6 Quad Shield would have far less impact on signal strength.

What has less impact on signal? Multiple runs of RG6 Quad Shield or multiple splitters? Would RG11 have less loss over long runs?

Your (1) and (2) suggestions are practical and will result in higher signal voltage at the input to the sat. receivers. I have a friend (DirecTV customer) who has done that with 4 TVs and it seems to work well.

RG11 would theoretically be a better choice, but it's expensive, tough to work with, and the connectors are a little challenging. I'd use RG6.
