What type of Ireland vacation to book?

There are a couple of travel deals right now, on trips to Ireland. One has lodging for six-nights close to Shannon (West). The other one has 2-nights in Dublin, 2-nights in Belfast, and 2-nights in .. Silko (W / NW). If anyone has visited Ireland as a tourist - is one travel deal better than the others, and why? FYI - each one comes with a rental car. // I'm leaning towards 2/2/2, while my friend likes the 6-nighter. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in advance!
