5 50lCaliber New member Oct 28, 2009 #1 I have to choose between a regular DVD drive, or a DVD-ROM drive. I want to know if a DVD-ROM drive will read regular DVD+R, DVD-R, etc. My choices are a 22x DVD+-RW drive or a 16x DVD-ROM drive. Thanks

M MiscTechAdvice New member Nov 1, 2009 #2 Get the RW. DVD-ROM drives can not burn DVD's. Also, the burner is faster to begin with.
