...spinoff a seperate show? I like the show the way it is...and i am confused about the whole spinoff. Is that going to be season 3 of gossip girl? What will happen to the originals
 
Gossip Girl will carry on as it is.

The spin-off is set in the 1980's so if it connects in any way to Gossip Girl it will be just to give a backstory to a couple of the older characters in GG.
 
The original show will continue.The spin-off is a different show with different characters and hence the cast will also be different.The original cast of Gossip Girls' will continue to appear on Gossip Girls'.
